Industrial Lighting Cables consist of a metallic enclosure providing an input connector, an output connector, and a phase drop connector for bringing AC power to fluorescent or HID-type lighting fixtures. Options include locking-type NEMA receptacles in place of the phase drop connector, allowing direct connection to luminaires supplied with standard NEMA plug-and-cord assemblies. Industrial Lighting Cables are factory prewired and rated at 20 amps. Industrial Lighting Cables feature recessed electrical terminals, resulting in a dead-front design for added safety. All connectors are color-coded for easy voltage identification and keyed to allow mating connections only with components of the same voltage. Secure connections are assured by locking clips on the component rear cup assemblies, which prevent accidental disconnection. Cable length is based on project requirements.
The Industrial Lighting Cable’s function is to bring AC power to lighting fixtures for connection using Plug-N-Go Fixture Cord Assemblies (PC-FSC). Industrial Lighting Cables supplied with locking-type NEMA receptacles in place of the phase drop connector connect directly to luminaires supplied with standard NEMA plug-and-cord assemblies. A luminaire can be disconnected from the lighting circuit for service, bypass, or relocation by unplugging its Fixture Cord Assembly without affecting the remaining luminaires on the circuit.
NOTE: Industrial Lighting Cables are manufactured using type MC cable with #12 AWG copper conductors and 90°C insulation and should be supported in accordance with National Electrical Code requirements.
