Description

Lighting Whip Cables provide AC power to lighting fixtures and consist of a male load-side connector and wiring conductors enclosed in a flexible metal jacket, with stripped pigtail leads for easy connection to junction boxes. The load side connector is designed to install in 1/2″ knockouts. The connector provides leads with push-in terminals for easy attachment of the lighting fixture’s input wires. Lighting Whip Cable connectors feature recessed electrical terminals, resulting in a dead-front design for added safety. All connectors are color-coded for easy voltage identification and keyed to allow mating connections only with components of the same voltage. Secure connections are assured by locking clips on the component rear cup assemblies, which prevent accidental disconnection. Cable length is based on project requirements.

Function

The Lighting Whip Cable is designed to connect and deliver AC power to lighting fixtures. Lighting Cables are available in 1, 2 or 3 circuit models which can accommodate all single and dual level switching functions.

NOTE: Lighting Whip Cables are manufactured using type MC cable with #12 AWG copper conductors and 90°C insulation and should be supported in accordance with National Electrical Code requirements.
